This puzzle requires the Firmware Updates data page, and multiple items used in previous puzzles. There are three puzzle mechanics you’ll need to revisit for this final challenge.
The Firmware Updates data page shows a new series of Abronath disc wirings along with a list of 4 sets of numbers. Using the Abronath disc and Y.A.R.N., the new wiring diagrams and list of numbers will spell out a 5-letter word.
Separately, on the Firmware Updates page, the colorful grid on display is composed of some colors that you were able to filter out earlier. When viewed through the VISOR, the remaining grid spaces will be a helpful reminder of the safe path taken across the killing floor.
Looking at the floor grid image (on the back of the Killing Floor spec record) through the VISOR will highlight some of the grid spaces. You’ll want to take note of the letters in the highlighted grid spaces, but just the letters that are in the “unsafe areas only.” The noted letters will spell a message for a new set of letters from the killing floor to consider. These noted letters will spell a 5-letter word.
Separately, on the Firmware Updates page, an image of an isolinear chip has been flipped over in a specific way. In the example image, the 55-55 assignment address turns into a 22-22 assignment address when flipped over. Note: The example chip isn’t just rotated 180 degrees. It is flipped over as well.
Flipping the 4 isolinear chips in this same way will give each chip a new assignment address, and a new position it can be lined up on the ship blueprint. Placing each chip correctly will give 8 letters that spell out two words.
Putting all of this together gives a final clue message. The final message gives a new target word that should be used to reconfigure the internal components of the combadge.
ANSWER REVEAL: Rewiring the Abronath using the updated list of numbers spells out the word RESET. Viewing the killing floor grid through the VISOR, and only noting highlighted letters that are not part of the safe path taken to cross the floor spells out the message “unsafe purples.” Noting all of the letters in purple grid spaces that are not part of the safe path spells the word BADGE. Flipping over each isolinear chip in the way shown in the example image will give 8 letters that spell out TO RUINED. All together this gives the final clue, “reset badge to ‘ruined’.” The internal component squares inside the combadge can be rearranged so that the carved channel inside the badge passes through letters that spell “ruined.” In this arrangement, closing the badge and noting the letters visible from the outside spells out the final answer IGNORE. Looking at the “supernova” envelope, ignore is synonymous with DISREGARD. So DISREGARD is the keyword that grants access to the final envelope.
